Veteran singer-songwriter Gary Dranow has unveiled his latest single "Chaos." A blues-infused rock track that provides a scathing commentary on the state of the Republican Party. Released on January 25th in collaboration with The Manic Emotions, "Chaos" masterfully fuses old-school rock influences with a contemporary style.

Chaos talks about problems Dranow sees in the Republican Party. The song says Republican politicians fail to serve the people. Instead, they tell lies and cause chaos. The instrumentation of “Chaos” grabs attention right away, from the isolated guitar riffs introducing the track to the distorted guitar and drums kicking in on the line “Liberty’s Keepers in silence amused.”

The arena-rock sonic expansiveness effectively mirrors the song’s theme of dysfunction spreading through the Republican Party. Dranow’s husky yet versatile vocals manage to convey both indignation and a rallying cry for change.

The lyrics pull no punches in their assessment of Republican leadership as having dragged their party into a swamp of corruption and lies. Lines like “Bow before your master, oaths to protect now ignored” underscore the sense of betrayal many Americans feel. Yet the song retains its rebellious spirit rather than wallowing in despair, true to Dranow’s personal perseverance in the face of adversity.

While Dranow himself provides vocals, guitar, and songwriting, “Chaos” also benefited from the talents of Australian guitarist Chris Zoupa along with several Ukrainian artists, including Klim Apalkov and Roman Burda. This Internationalization of the recording process enabled a richness of drawing from diverse backgrounds that ultimately serves the universality of the song’s message.
