Born and raised in Connecticut, Mariel began singing and acting from a young age. After choosing a more collegiate path and pursuing a career in documentary film, she is now very happy to be returning to her musical roots.

In 2022, she teamed up with recording engineer, Gawain Mathews, to produce Silk, her first EP following her first single release Starlight. With a vocal sound that has been compared to Natalie Merchant, her songs harmonize darkness and lightness while exuding a dreamy nature. As grateful as she is to her ukulele, Mariel is now taking guitar lessons as she continues to write songs.
New artist, Mariel, releases Easy off of her first EP Silk. Easy was recorded with producer
Gawain Mathews out of the Bay Area and released in October 2022.
In addition to Easy, Silk includes tracks Starlight and Come Alive. The EP can be found on all
streaming platforms including Spotify.
