Lyrah captures an innocence within her music, producing soothing beats made for late nights
This song is the third single from her forthcoming EP - following "Hold Me" and "Sorry CVS".
Lyrah writes songs that invoke feelings of nostalgia and heartbreak juxtaposed on uptempo dance beats. She got her start writing toplines for Axtone Records (the label of Swedish DJ/Producer Axwell.)
Since, pursuing a solo path, her songs have been listed on Spotify's "Fresh Finds", Tidal's "Pop Somber", and Apple Music's playlists "Vibes" and "Nightcap". Most recently she's had songs featured in HBO's show "The Sex Lives of College Girls" and "Charmed".
Outside of music, Lyrah has been designing tools for artists and pushing on the web3 space. She designed the Record Deal Simulator which went viral last year and is now working on an experience for Grimes and a contract tool for artists.
On this faithful day,September 21, Lyrah releases "In the Leaves" and it's available on almost all streaming platforms.
Quote about the track:
I wrote this song about a dream I had before I decided to quit my stable, full-time job.
In the dream I kept waking up outside, like on the sidewalk in San Francisco and in the leaves by a road. I kept choosing that over my bed or car, and it felt surprisingly calm when I’d wake up outside of my home.
I had a session with Benji of Slenderbodies and we talked about this dream and how it seemed to mirror my life choice of staying in the comfort of a full time job or leaving and being satisfied with less.
I quit the job and I kept the song.
COOL NOTE: a track called “Omen” by Holiday86 ft. Lyrah just released and is doing rather well... Holiday86 (who is a member of The Knocks).
