The world is, thankfully, filled with so much talent it’s hard to keep up. Flip that coin over and you’ll also find an equal amount of mediocrity across the board. How very lucky you are. When it comes to singers, there’s some that get more than a fair shake based on things other than vocal talent, and then you have under the radar guy like C-Beem, a gent with pipes you rarely hear in music anymore–the kind of guy who can sing anything, has an effortless range yet also is a soul and vibes in everything he does.
You probably first heard of him in the previous releases including C-Beem and The Winter Thickets(Remastered V2), Tales from Toni EP and if you don’t know who he is, that’s on you. The musicianship is strong, the songwriting is great, but it’s C-Beem’s vocals that made and make the tracks a force to be reckoned with.
On this blessed day, we pulled out of the stack this gem by UK. His latest single released on August 3, 2022, C-Beem is saturated and marinated in a fantastic blend of guitars. I was hooked at the first listen.
The guitars are layered into a dreamy-yet-edgy atmosphere in the opening, full of promise for lovers of synthscpe. Which is Warriors. The melody line of the drum bass feels hopeful and maybe even playful; energetic. Love the complementary work of the bass guitar, deep and anchoring and bringing out all of the colors and nuances of the lead and rhythmic guitars. And it keeps moving and evolving.
Happy to have been introduced to the work of this UK gem, and curious where the road will take him.
