Born in Paris, AKSL GEMINI is from Gabon, the country where she spent most of his adolescence.
Her style of music is influenced by American R&B of the 90s. From Aaliyah to Mary J. Blige but also by soul icons like Luther Vandross or African music such as Davido or Wizkid.
AKSL GEMINI is out with "EVERYTHING" and it is amazing as her previous wonderful pieces.
After a few titles posted on Soundcloud, she released in 2020 “HOPE”, her first EP in collaboration with the Luxembourgish beatmaker Hokube.
The same year, the latter invited him to participate in his album “Give Love Get it Back”, especially on the titles “Whatever You Want” and “Now I Know” featuring American Guilty Simpson.
“Musique Douce” is the second project of AKSL. It is a tribute to a radio show of the same name, which was dedicated to R&B and played on the Gabonese airwaves during his adolescence.
The spirit of these years is therefore in the spotlight, while mixing influences a little more current such as trap or afrobeat.
In production, AKSL has surrounded itself with Moses Beat, a living Gabonese in Ghana which makes up the major part of the project but we find also Hokube on the track “Just U”.
