Searchlight share the final focus track 'Out Of Order' Ft. PAV4N & Steo, lifted from the new self-titled album out 2nd September on Goldie’s Fallen Tree 1Hundred label.
Irish producers Cian McCann (Zero T) and Dom Purcell (Beta2) continue to build the Searchlight narrative of ‘future retro’, teaming up with PAV4N from Foreign Beggars and Dublin rapper Steo.
They say: "As soon as we cooked up this track we knew we wanted rapping on the verses with a sung chorus; structurally a nod to some of our favourite ATCQ tracks like "1nce Again". For the vocal duties we got 2 heavyweights and old pals of ours: PAV4N, who was one of Foreign Beggars - the legendary London hip hop act - and our Dublin compatriot Steo coming with silky melodies. The track is a reflection on the ills and woes of our current times and walk through PAV4N's history of coming up in London and the journey he went on with fellow rapper Ebow(RIP) as Foreign Beggars. Steo's melancholic hook both soothes the ear and pull at your heart strings."
The self-titled album wraps up a year-long campaign of launch singles having seen heavy support on BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio1 from the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs, Gilles Peterson, Benji B and Goldie. The band’s releases to date have also picked up wide press coverage and over 200 plays across UK radio.
